Yep, hence why i impulse bought the kit.

I can always change the adapters if need be if they arent 100% right on the reg.

The guys were nice enough and in the end saved me quite a fair chunk, enough to buy 4 high cap flash mags :)

Was toying with the idea of tapping into a spare mag untill i order in the DG. Would anyone recomend it and if so, what psi those mags run ok at ?

 
Well, just don't be 'that guy' with the hi-cap maracas HPA setup. The EPMs are very nice and hold 150rds each, feels a lot better than having rattling magazines every time you shoot.

Tapping can tricky depending on valve location. Keep the PSI at around 60 then creep it up to 80 (which is around where you need to be). Get a CQB Russian valve, depends on the brand as to which one you need.

Haha, i know what you mean. Nothing better than sneaking around with half of mexico following you!

I converted lonex high m4 high caps to fit my we mk17 and they do rattle but not too much.

Cool yes, i was considering the CQB russian valve as its a inplace replacement, just to play.

Thankfully the Vector is easy, and it's the same answer: CQB Russian valves (the KWA ones). Buy one for each mag, add a small amount of PTFE tape or pneumatic sealant, screw in (only give an extra quarter turn when it feels like it's getting harder to screw in or you'll damage the threads) and you're done.

The rig is the issue though. You'll need a tank, regulator and line. A smallish 3500 psi tank would be fine (maybe around 50cl) as you don't have many shots in each magazine. You're looking at maybe in the region of £200 when all said and done, with the regulator being the most expensive thing (even the Ninja LPR is £105). You may need to consider a Scuba tank if you're not close to a paintball or dive shop, or don't have a compressor on the site you attend.

The only real obvious downside to an HPA tapped magazine on a GBBR like that is that you do need to swap the QD every time you reload. It maybe adds a few seconds and you can get quite quick at it. A small price for consistent shots and cheap refills I think.

OMG is it that easy??

I don't need to do any changes to the rifle itself just mod the mags??

Make sure you get the KWA ones and be sure not to overtighten them when installed (again once it goes taught you want to only do one more quarter turn). Also buy some PTFE/Teflon tape to add to the threads before you put them in as this will make the seal more reliable (it's about £2 a roll so don't worry)

Obviously bigger will hold more air but is bulkier. You can opt for 4500psi, but that gets a lot more expensive so I've picked you a 3000psi bottle

I'd suggest shopping around, but that's what you kinda want. A tank of around 50cl or more and a regulator from a decent brand (frankly Ninja and Redline make the best ones). Hose is included with most regulators and has the QD fittings you need. Both Beesting and Rap4 do the different hose lengths. I've found 36" to be good and it's the 'standard' for most players.

This is the mystery, I had a go at asking people how long any tank would last and nobody can really answer it.I would hazard a guess a 48/3500 would easily last you a day if your tapping any gbb mags as you just won't go through enough quick enough.

Filling depends on how you go about it, get a scuba tank and use a refill station like the below.

If you contact beesting via email, they will most likely offer a discount if you get the kit all together.

They offered the line and fill station free with my reg and tank.

If you use the fill station then you only then need to get a scuba tank, have it hydrostatic tested if it's not already in test.

Then finally fill that baby up in the closest diving shop for next to nothing. From what I have heard it's no more than a few quid.

If no scuba tank, then just take the small bottle to the dive shop.

Prof will be able to answer this thoroughly, I also owe this guy a few beers getting me here now.

New toys are coming tomorrow! Yippee :)

Ace that is what I shall do then

Get a decent sized tank and siphon it from that.

Haha yeah no worries, because of my need I went mental on he tank size just so I never have a issue.

I also encountered the cool down and staggering fps fluctuations the weekend using my 416 the first and most likely only time before its gutted.

Haha yes, I am toying with selling my mk17 and getting the gbb variant and Daytona that as well.

I'm starting to dislike AEG's as much I like building the gearboxes. They are too whiney, fragile and common.

I do love my scar though.

Deffo, love it!
