Two sites, which is best

Both AP & Skirmish are roughly the same distance from me so not a lot of difference in travel time. It's a probably approaching 3 years since I last went to AP but it was a good site back then even on the days when there were 150+ players.
I went to Skirmish last weekend for the 1st time in about 18 months & was very underwhelmed. The safe zone is a decent size but as mentioned by Colin Allen approximately half the available tables are out in the open. The staff were numerous, pleasant & approachable, with the game briefs being (mostly) clear & well explained. However, the game area is pretty basic & the players, while most were honest & decent, I experienced some of the most blatant cheating I've ever encountered.
I hoping to get back to AP in the near future to see how its faring but unlikely to ever return to Skirmish.

Two sites, both alike in dignity, near fair Billaricay, where we lay our scene....

So this Sunday I'm looking at going to either Airsoft Plantation or Skirmish Billaricay. AP seems to get mentioned on here more but SB is far easier to get to from the station so I'm after people's opinions on which is the better site and why

AP does large scale random chronoing before and during games. Chronos are on site and players self chrono.

It seems to work.

To add to Colin's comment. The staff instruct players to self chrono before the first safety briefing and openly warn you of being asked to leave if you're found with a hot weapon and that if anyone's injured, the police will be called on you.

With particularly hot days, players have also been asked to self chrono again in the lunch break, especially with gas powered guns.

That's a bit more reassuring, as long as they actually do kick anyone that exceeds whatever threshold I assume have to differentiate between "it'll probably be because the suns out mate" to "you're taking the piss mate"

I have been there when players have been sent home for having an overpowered gun during pre-game testing and weighing of their balls, unlike another local site who were ok with me using an overpowered gun last time I was there; needless to say, I did not use it.

Today at AP, a player was sent home for being a dick.
