🔴 PMG209 EVO BFG FRAG | UK AVAILABILITY 🔴

Good news! With permission from the original designer, Lucas of Tactical; Index, I'm now producing and selling these 3D-printed PMG209 EVO BFG FRAGs here in the UK! 🇬🇧

I've been testing them in the field and refining the production, and there's already been some great interest from the airsoft community. They're available for £25 each, with sales handled directly through Instagram and the airsoft community.

Designed by Tactical; Index. Check out the original design here:

⚠️ IMPORTANT: 3D-PRINTED PRODUCT DISCLAIMER

These are 3D-printed products, not traditionally moulded/CNC commercial items. Although designed for repeated use, printed components can crack, wear or break following hard impacts, rough handling or prolonged use.

Always inspect before and after use. Stop using the product immediately if you notice cracks, damage or unusual operation. Its lifespan depends on handling and conditions, and repeated use is not guaranteed.

At £25, they offer a potential alternative to disposable airsoft grenades, which can cost several pounds per use. With proper care, they may offer better long-term value, but durability will vary.

Use responsibly, follow your site's rules, and never use a damaged product.

📩 Interested? Message me directly for availability.

Both 209 and 9mm bases available
I printed one for myself to try out. So far loving the design. Nice and chunky, reinforced in all the right places and no snagging parts. Gonna borrow some primers and see how well it works 1000009579.webp

I've also been printing a couple of these and have been experimenting with a filament i've not used before: PCTG.

What an unbelievable pain it's been to get the prints even mildly usable. The filament produces a really high gloss and slick finish on the printed parts but I need to do more fine tuning because the seams are incredibly wonky and there's still some imperfections in the print. The filament is supposed to be stronger than PETG while being less brittle. Additionally, the PCTG hates printing on supports and always leaves a crappy edge. With a bit more fiddling with settings, I’ll get it to print nicely. Printed the main body out of PETG. Still waiting for the hardware to arrive from Ali.

Not heard of that filiment and when I tried to pronounce it, my table started floating

its probably the same as when i tried to do it In ABS, its a slippery material

Honestly i have made so many of these, you are best of sticking with PLA

So I was showing off these PMG Evo grenades now i've tuned the spoon/hammer setup a bit more. Someone asked if they can take a 12 gauge. I explained that they're not designed for them... then I went home and made one for funs and it fits on the first go too, but man, it's sketchy. The wall that holds the 12G is extremely thin - like 1 layer thin. There's no doubt in my mind it's going to destroy the base IF it goes off.

How have you tuned the hammer/spoon setup

I found that they released too easily and could even fire with the pin still in. This could be because of printer inaccuracies (and/or settings) leaving play in the parts. I thought it could also be the material as the PCTG had such a smooth finish but it still happened when I tested it with PLA so it's likely the printer or settings

I asked Tactical Index if he could make a version of the spoon and hammer that took more effort to release. He did but it they did too much and it wouldn't release at all unless thrown hard. I took the new model and kept trimming the spoon back until I got one where it wouldn't fire when the pin was in and reliably fired when dropped from waist height.

It's probably my fault for the original design not working. When I get time, i'll figure it out.

Yeah i worked on this with him, i use the Hard hammer and soft spoons with PLA, all of the 130+ ones i have printed have wored this way and tested fine , this is the perfect combination

what printer are you using as i could send you the 3mf file

Ah okay - that's a combination i've not tried yet. Will give that a bash at some point.

I'm now using a Elegoo Neptune 4 plus that I picked up in the Halloween sales.
