Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

Unless your selling an if / rif, PayPal doesn’t not cover any form of gun and that includes airsoft.
So which is it? They allow you to sell an IF/RIF or they don't? An IF/RIF is still an airsoft replica. 🤔

Also quite a few people don’t realise the TM SD, the only service you can use for 1i’s / rifle.s also will not cover guns for moe than the basic included amount.
Could you elaborate on what "TM SD" is?

I think that any kind of advice given regarding legality/terms of common services like PayPal should be clear and coherent 🙂

Genuine query as I want to see if I’m alone or not on this one. Something I see quite a bit in the AF classifieds “TM NGRS COMPLETELY UPGRADED” listed over double the price of a box fresh.

I get people like upgrades. And they cost you money to buy and install. But surely, especially with TMs once it’s been opened up and things are changed out, it’s value must divebomb.. even if you’ve put the snazziest bits in, charging £1200 for an AEG with none of the original internals inside it anymore and a paint job covering all the nice markings is a bit of a PT!?

Definitely agree with you. Modified replicas unless done by a well known tech (And even then the value added is negligible) the majority of the time you're going to eat a large chunk of the cost. If it's a QOL upgrade that HAS to be done, i.e a weak point of a replica that always needs replacing then some value can be retained.

Of course people can charge what they want, they may end up in Macks (As they often do 😂) but when I see a replica that's been posted 3+ months with all these upgrades and a silly price tag it makes me wonder if they really want to sell it to begin with 🤔

Yes no I agree on the improving longevity upgrades, especially if it’s a known weak point and would basically need to be done regardless to have a usable replica!

I am selling my MP7 currently and that had upgrades installed. i decided to revert it back to stock and sell the upgrades separately. Probs ended up making more in the long run too lol.

This dreamer isn't very observant or careful with his scam, is he?

He clearly pulled it off Ebay US and is going on about US law with the orange tip.

"This listing complies with eBay's air gun policy and I will only ship air guns to buyers in jurisdictions where permitted to by applicable laws."

"This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including an attached orange plug."

Is this where all the toxics play lol

If that label helps you sleep at night, have at it.

This is where people call out overpriced listings, scams and the occasionally dangerous item.

While I get a good laugh at calling out and reading some of the listings, I post here because there are people new to airsoft or their parents who aren't as aware of reasonable market value for used gear, nor do they know some of the red flags to look out for.

After a long time away, I'd been welcomed back to airsoft by lots of different communities so I like to give something back by helping out returning players or newbies so they're supported like I was.

Not toxic here just discuss overpriced ad listings

Fair play fo

Aww thanks x

Seller hasn't made the effort to point out what the brand & model of the gun are so how can he say £240 is worth it for the bundle?

At least he'll point you in the right direction to fix his fuck up? 🤣

The cause can be the other way round. It may have been a faulty charger that could have knackered the battery if its voltage isn't steady for example.
