Oh it was me who asked about a T41P one. I'm curious what this would look like in the flesh tho. I already bought the Lite chassis and stock, ready for the other rail thoughOK at this point it may be an actual addiction. Someone asked about a rail for the TAC 41P. They ended up changing their mind but the idea was planted so I made one anywayView attachment 43619
Got a VooDoo S printed by MistakenMexican, I bought the file online and the finished article popped through the letter box today, I have a bit of painting to do but I have a good selection of modelling paints to hand.
This will be attached to my L403A1 once it's finished.
I should add... I'm very happy with it, top job Sir.
Can see this being very popular til a decent commercial replica is released.
The hinge itself isn't printed. That was an aluminium one off aliexpresslooks good but the stock hinge might not be strong enough even if you use some of the fancier 3D materials. Check out PCBWAY and upload the design there and select Aluminum (AlSi10Mg) as I've had a few parts made before using it and it's very good. It's not massively expensive but price increases the bigger the item.
Oh I see. I plan on giving it a proper stress test to see how much it takes to break it and where it breaks. In theory it should distribute the load fairly well between the plates that mount it to the receiver, the bolts, threaded inserts and the threads of the buffer tube. Still, probably wouldn't run it with a two pint sling attached to the stock. If I was to get a part custom machined there would be no point machining these parts as they were specifically designed as a workaround for the limitations of 3d printing. If I went down that route I'd get them to make something like this but with the buffer tube lower down instead
The problem i have is needing space to run the wires. I dropped the stock down specifically so that I can fit a deans through . I might be able to modify one of those to make the wires fit but it would mean having the whole thing strung together with the wires when I take it apart.I'm sure the satisfaction is to be able to print your own but these are available...

No because by doing it this way the deans connector will fit through the space I've made for it. So I can take the lower off and pull the connector out through the hole in the picture aboveAren't you always going to have that issue unless you front wire the gearbox or buy a GBBR?
