Hi guys, new into airsoft and my current main scope is a to narrow field of view.
Anyone have any suggestions would be appreciated:)

Ideally a nice large red dot sight would be the best option.
Not looking on spending a fortune, also dont want something they'll just break.

Many thanks:)

My personal recommendation would be a Vortex Strikefire 2 if you just want a red dot. Can easily throw a x3 magnifier behind it.

Or a vortex Spitfire x3 ( especially if you can find a Gen 1

Vortex are expensive but high quality and come with a lifetime guarantee so when your glass does inevitably get shot out, you can send it back to them and they'll either fix or replace it for free.

Hi bud.

Thank you for the recommendation 😊

I shall go and have a look at those now.

Much appreciate the help bud:)

I'm very fond of Vector Optics in general, and for large window red dots i use their Nautilus sights. They do both multi reticle and solely red dot versions, i use one with a magnifier too.

I think i have 5 of these between various guns.

Thanks fella, some lovely set ups you have there.

I will have a look now and see which one will suit better. Much appreciated bud:)

Great, now i need to buy a MP5SD6, that is looking epic ngl.

You absolutely do. SD6s are just another level of cool. I liked it so much but missed the simplicity, i had to buy another and keep it plain externally. 😂

Thank you, i just can't be trusted with money. 😂

Another option worth looking at is the Vector optics S6. It's a 1-6 LPVO with a nice long eye relief and a really good field of view, but with the zoom takes away a need for a magnifier as well.

Cheers bud, was lookimg for one with a unlimited eye relief ideally. The Vector Nautilus seems to be the one :)

I have always liked the SD6, such a cool looking SMG. I went for the P90 as my first SMG RIF, but I have been thinking about getting an SD6 recently.

I traded an AUG for a Cyma MP5K a few weeks ago, but it's not the same. I crave an SD6 with the solid stock.

Perhaps an SD6 will be my first foray into GBBR, but that's a hefty investment lol

Both of mine are Marui NGRSs, which i really like. I have two VFC MP5 GBBs; an MP5A5 which i've never used and an MP5K-PDW which i really like but has previously smashed BBs and nozzles and i've not finished getting it perfect yet.

I think the WE MP5s are generally reliable from what i've seen on here and have a better stop-on-empty system, although i don't know the details of it.

I would definitely recommend the NGRS though. They're not the most poweful out the box, but the quality and finish is unbeatable.

Field of view shouldn't matter with red dot sights as you're supposed to keep both eyes open when looking down them. I know it can take a bit of getting used to but give it a try

I use one of these 40mm monsters on my RPK LMG.

Allows me to keep both eyes open and watch out for heads popping up. Not sure on total life expectancy but I've been using for about 8 months rain and shine now which is good given its price. Holds its zero too, not always the case even on a AEG.

They also have a 1x35 version, which I use on my AK12 if the 40mm is too big.

oooo RPK is one of my wishlist guns. Do you have some more pics of it?

There are three excellent large window red dot/holo sights:

Holosun HS512C
Vortex UH-1
EOTech EXP range.

Yes, I’ve owned all of them. Despite what vortex claim, the UH-1 doesn’t work well (or at all) with NV. Poor battery life as it’s a true holographic sight
The Holosun has solar back-up and 50,000 battery life. Red dot not holo.
EOtech is the best (but early ones suffer from window delamination and you need to make sure you’re not buying a clone for real steel prices). Also has poor battery life as it’s a true holographic sight.
