Hello. I bought a brand new WE PX4. Almost every time after firing, the hammer drops along with the returning slide and a bit more rarely it kinda short strokes 2-3 times without chambering a bb. I took it back to the store, they replaced it with a new one. The new one has the same issues. Can anyone guess what the problem is? Thank you for your time.

EDIT: One more thing, it appears to lose power and spit gas rather quickly, at about 2 magazines.
EDIT 2: Another symptom I noticed is that sometimes when it jams and I try to remove the magazine, it's gas starts spilling out. The slide is in its normal position when that happens.

Then my ignorant mind says not enough gas is going into the slide to recock it, dunno what the solution is but I would spend a good 5 mins racking the slide while you hold the trigger (mag out & holding the slide stop) to weaken the spring, it might simply be too strong/new to let the slide go back far enough.

I tried red gas, no noteworthy difference. Thanks for the suggestion anyways. One more thing, it appears to lose power and spit gas rather quickly, at about 2 magazines.

Tried wearing out the ''newness'' as you suggested. No effect, the result is the same. Thanks again for the reply anyways.

Sorry but the WE PX4 is widely regarded as a hot piece of garbage, as you are finding out. The TM PX4 is excellent.

Well aren't you the fountain of useful info 🙄

My WE PX4 Bulldog (Short) doesn't seem to behave the same. When it runs out of gas it just spits out a BB weakly and doesn't lock the hammer.

Sensible move, my PX4 was the first airsoft gun I ever bought and is still going strong 12 years later

Well, I took it back to the store again, they told me that WE PX4s need to be oiled VERY often and that this was the issue. But they offered to trade it back for a TM PX4 for the price difference. And now I have a TM PX4. Thank you all for your time and efforts.
Heads up the threaded WE barrel fits the TM.
