Pretty sure I remember seeing a factory tan RS HK417 desceibed as being "50 shades of FDE" in a surprisingly official source. It may well have been the much lamented/missed "HK Media Girl" tho I'm probably mistaken...

50 shades in it's defense has slightly fewer cracking norks on its cover than your common or garden jazz mag. But I'm sure Razzle has much better punctuation and spell checking.

Nice build buddy how do you find the eye relief from that sight ? I had an elcan replica on my 249 and the eye relief was awful so just wondering if that was the sight or me lol
Took some getting used to I have to say but once I got my eye in it's no bother though you really do have to be in the "sweet spot". I was lucky I paid 60 for mine like. I think it comes down to a person to person thing my mate swears by his flip magnifier and a red dot and I just cannot seem to get away with it
