The AAP-01 Owners Thread.

Let's be honest for a second.

I don't get WE, they had the chance to make a cool GBB like a Tec-9 lookalike (so AAP style upper, correct magazine placement and most importantly, glock magazines instead of some proprietary shit)...

They instead decided to clone the AAP but make it more complicated to use (hop adjustment, for example) at a price point that can't compete with the AAP (because it's a €85/90 pistol, I reckon the WE is gonna be at least 120/130)...

why....

Simply because they can.... they see what’s selling well and tweak it here and there and then offer that product to the market coz they think they will sell more of it. I mean who doesn’t want to own a WE replica of anything right? ;)

WE feel they have the "brand" behind it maybe? Almost like an entitlement. Are probably self congratulating in their pistols being "the best available" and hugely unaware of how good competitive products are.

From WE perspective, AA must look like crap, relatively smaller brand in comparison, full plastic design, not made a pistol before compared to them, market "leaders" who have been making them for years and of course their product is superior!

I would have been interested IF the upper alone was available and it was TM compatible but even then. It's not pretty and it's a WE.

they're all over the show tbh.

some of we's stuff is pretty damn good, some of it is utter garbage.

their products tend to fall down though when there's competition, the only gun they make that i can put my finger on and say "the we version is the best out there" is the makarov and it's long list of 1 blowback competitor.....

Just stuck a short stroke kit on my purchased list as well. Not going to go mental with it as a pistol in full auto quite frankly terrifies me and I'm scared it will drop to bits but a bit snappier on the semi will be a bonus. Will chuck a stronger nozzle spring on my next R8 order and possibly throw a trigger on just for the hell of it.

what the hell are the I-key and H plates everyone is talking about?   never heard of them before...

as for what i am running in my AAP....   both are totally stock internally, but my black one has has the rail sets and folding stock added to it.

will need some money at the end of this month to put my car through its MOT, so i may be putting the tan one up for sale over the weekend (never even been fired, let alone taken to a game)

am i the only one thinking there's a distinct star-trek vibe going on here
now that you mention it....    *looks again*    no, you arent the only one

I'd better keep off the classified sections..... mental note to myself... don't by a tan plastic polymer pistol..... it may get mistaken for a Hasbro... ;)

It's all @Steveocee's fault!

2 Hadron H keys ordered, along with an Autobot 50 for my "pistol" and a Decepticon 50 for my "cqb pistol with stock".

They're an insert for your hop arm, they give a more even pressure across the bucking and are perfect for maple and flamingo rubbers.

Makes your hop arm concave.

iKey is more of a rounded pressure but can be dragged easily.

Hadron h plate is more of a centre pressure and very stable.

How long until OCD bites and you get matching rubbers?

It's a slippery slope tho.

It made me buy about 12 maple leaf rubbers last year :(  now the silicone ones have hit the market, I suspect I'll get another 12 soon -.-
