Is the main spring in the gearbox the only thing that can cause it to go twang and fire parts everywhere when you separate the casing?

Yeah it is the main thing.

Put a screwdriver into the spring guide before separating the two halves and hold it in position. Be careful of the anti reversal latch spring as it is one of the most common lost parts.

I have a quick change spring so will just take it out first. Thanks

Am I correct in thinking a consistent left curve on the BB is most likely a hop related issue?

can also be a barrel issue . Either dirt or damage in the bore or crown. Can also be some thing fowling the exit, flash hider, suppressor or catching the outer barrel if poorly centered in the outer barrel. What's the gun?

It’s an a&k masada SPR. Barrel is throughly cleaned and centred as far as I can tell. No suppressor fitted.

Its usually the bucking nub not centred.

This can be caused by it either needs turning slighlty, it's damaged or the hop arm is not coming down square.

Hi I'm after a little help with a s/h we sig f229 I've just picked up. It's a bit battle worn and has no front sight.

Can anyone let me know how best to fit a replacement front sight? Got one on the way, but the slot on the slide has a small hole. I'm assuming the sight just slides into the groove. Is this correct? If not, does it need to be glued on?

I don't have the replacement yet, so I can't work out if it will slide in or will need to be glued on.

Thanks is advance for any help. :)
