WEAPONCRATES HAS BEEN ACQUIRED AND AS SUCH TERMINATED ITS SERVICE.



Weaponcrates has been working since 2015 to help airsoft transition into a place where you can not only buy and sell unwanted items, but also connect and socialise with like-minded enthusiasts.

We recently was Acquired by a Manufacture and as part of the agreement terminated our operations. We are sad to end our work with the community, all other operations such as PlayerCheck and Hopup will also terminate.

If you need to contact any member of the site with ongoing transactions you can login here to access messages. This link will last until 9th April 2018

If you have an outstanding payout contact our support via facebook and we will resolve it.

All existing customer data will be destroyed on the 10th of April 2018, we will not be able to recover data from that point.

i've seen several people over the last week or so complain that they have not received their money from weaponscrates as well...

This could possibly be why!

So, it seems as if nearly all airsoft related sales sites have either died out or sold out.

We have had ZeroIn down for God knows how long, Prefired forcing users to pay to bump their ads and now WeaponCrates is also gone.

There are a few sites left such as UsedAirsoft, which is admittedly a buggy mess, but damn this is annoying. Really does seem like AF-UK is the last place where things are not going to absolute sh*t.

Airsoft sales just got harder!

Serial scam artist is Zac Grierson. I've actually known of him for about a decade now - it's been very strange. When he started posting here I PM'd Devastator and a couple of the regulars to express what I thought might be another scam of his.

If anyone has any problems getting their money back I'd encourage them to post here (as well as taking all the correct legal and PayPal action) as I dare say a thread on this will likely end up on the first page of Google search results soon.

Perhaps @Castle you'd grace us with an answer as to just what's happened because as usual there's a slight whiff of shit in the air as usual.

Iv not really used them that much. Iv bought a couple of things off there but made private deals with the vendor. Didnt feel comfortable useing them as a middle man as it were. And half the time either the whole site didnt work or half the options like making a offer so just arranged everything through pm or sent phone number and always paid via paypal. If vender didnt want that then i figured i probablywould want to do buisness with them in the first place.

Personally I think you’d have to be a special kind of stupid to hand money over to a random 3rd party. You’re just doubling the people with the potential to f*ck you over.

I imagine explaining to PayPal that the person you paid and want your money back from isn’t the person you bought the item from would be interesting too.

Thankfully I never used them as middleman for the ONE deal I conducted there, if I'm honest I didn't like the layout, kinda overcomplicated with many options not working, & thought most sellers had overpriced their kit on there.

be a real shame if anybody gets ripped off as a result of this, I'd reccomend people start PayPal claims etc immediately, & maybe contact the cyber fraud unit too, the poorly written explanation copied to here by Whompa73 looks very moody to me.

Team mate was messed about by them before Xmas in the end he went down the small claims court route but did get his money back after much “oh poor me ! I’m using my own money to keep it going, can I pay you in instalments !” Crap from the bloke running it !

How can he call this scare tactics???  After all its just a copy and past of his own message and people trying to figure out what has happened and where they stand. There was absolutly no pre warning! It was just an imediate casement of trading /use of website with an unsubstantiated  and cryptic reason that makes it look spurious in the first place. The scare tactics are completely on his behalf by leaving people in the dark about where they stand. Folk have the right to be pissed off and concerned about their money . Sound to me like the guy is a compleat DICK!!!! I only put this up here to let people know. But its definatly looking like it potentially  a far bigger issue than i realised. Luckily  im not owed by them and hopefully non of you guys are either.

It certainly does seem like the "been bought by a manufacture" (is that different to manufacturer?) Could be translated to "closed the doors and kept the money".

Comrades was a good group at first, but it's gone a bit pants now. I did roll eyes when the WC owner got made an admin there.

Exactly, and especially as the owner went out of his way to obfuscate his details.  To whom exactly were you giving your money, and in return for what? One of those secret escrow services, that's how you know it's super trustworthy.  Also, the search and categorisation was rubbish, and I could never figure out whether ads were still live, or even recent.  It was a total mess, I never actually managed to buy anything through it, and I won't miss it.

I think they saw the recent bullshittery of WC and have tried to seize the opportunity to get it active again. Now, they just need to stay up for more than 20 mins!
