WE g39c gbb

Hi, im new to the forum and have just bought a new secondhand we g39 gbb when i say its second hand im assured its never been skirmished and only ever had about 2-3 mags worth of bbs through it and i have no reason at all to doubt the person whom it came from, the problem i have is that i cannot just put a mag into the gun cock it then fire it ,what i have to do is pull back cocking handle ,hold it, put my finger into the magwell and push a little square block of steel up so it locks the cocking handle back ,then insert a mag release the cocking handle by pushing the button within the trigger guard then i can fire and change mags over with no problem, it just seems to be the first mag in that i have to do it with, im sure that cant be the right way to do it but have tried to work out whats wrong, but with very ltd knowledge of gbb's im just flapping in the wind, any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated thank you all in advance .

This is why we don't recommend GBB's for beginners

I suggest you message Rock-climby-Dave - (he used to/still has one) and ask him to read this topic

thanks i will do that oh ive been playing about 8-9 years just thought i would dip my toe in the gbb pond just a noob on the site hehehe and thanks for the pointer

rack the gun

put the mag in

rack the gun again

fire away.

It sounds like the hammer is getting in the way, holding the bolt back holds the hammer back

If that hasn't fixed it you will need to replace a spring? or something in the mechbox

erm excuse my stupidity is rack the same as cock ( im glad i havent put my age down at least this way you might think you are dealing with a teenager not a 40 somthing hehehe)

yeah, rack is marginally less likely to be taken as innuendo (in-YOUR-endo) by airsofters than 'cock'

rack, cock, cycle all mean pull it back and let it go.
