Hi my friend is thinking of getting a Umarex Heckler & Koch (JG) G36C AEG from action hobbies but wants to know if it is any good if anyone has any views on it i would be thankfull.

This is my original thoughts, before I realised it was wrong:

SPOILER View
UMAREX? I have a UMAREX/ARES G36k.I think it is an Ares G36 AEG, not Jing Gong (JG).

Anyhoo, the Ares is a very good gun. Is it the Electric BlowBack (EBB ) model? Mine is great fun indeed!

They use a V3 gearbox but spare parts for the gearbox can be hard to source as they are slightly irregular.

EDIT: Oh shi- from having a look at their site, I see what you mean.

It has a body licensed by UMAREX, so the markings are realistic.

However under the hood, as it were, it is the simple JG mechanical system.

They are regarded as brilliant starter weapons. Very solid and good performers. Just don't mess around with it too much unless you know what you are doing with it!

Also it has the reliable V3 that everyone seems to like from JG, but you will need to clip or replace the spring to lower the FPS. As they are often in the 370's (according to the retailer!)
