Hello all,

I wanted to pick your brains about MK23 suppressors. I am a new MK23 owner and I am looking to customise it a bit.

I have googled and searched for an answer but it seems the majority are split between the options.

I do have the stock TM suppressor that comes with the RIF, but it is MASSIVE, so I wanted to see what others use or would advise.

I am ultimately looking for the trifector, looks, silence and quality/utility

I do like the Osprey style, but it's hard to find any reviews of the Nov Osprey to judge the sound difference.

Here are the options I am considering.

The Silver Back MK23 Silencer:

Sniper Mechanics MK23 Hexx:

Novritsch Modular V2 Osprey:

(I like this one as with an adaptor i can attach to my BDS9 and still use my kydex holster lol)

I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

I didn't have good experiences with the Silverback suppressor. BBs kept clipping the end cap. Also, while it's not as long as the TM suppressor, it's... really thicc (with two Cs) and quite heavy.

No experience with the Nov suppressor, but his stuff tends to be at least serviceable. If it's foam-filled, it will be at least decent for sound suppression.

A lot of people use the SniperMechanic one because it's really good and the foam baffles are well designed. If I was going to choose out of those three, I'd probably go with the SniperMechanic one. It's small and it works really well.

But I just use the TM one. The TM one is really good too, and for me it looks the part as it's modelled on a proper .45 suppressor.

Thanks for the reply.

I have the TAC41 Hexx and must admit it's a very nice piece of kit. I definitely feel myself leaning towards that one or trying the Nov Osprey. It would be interesting to see if anyone here uses the Osprey and can comment on the change in sound.

I 3d printed mine for (almost) free. Lined with cut up green kitchen scourer pads, it's incredibly effective, and I think looks quite good too. Its been a while, so i can't be certain, but pretty sure that this is the one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2476969
Oh, I have seen that mentioned as it carries the rail on and looks more like a longer barrel. It looks like the interior is quite similar to the Novritsch one.

I have a feeling the choice is going to come down to circular or rectangular lol

I love the silverback carbon suppressor (shortest length)
Really good sound dampening and the right length for my DTD holster on my belt
Yes its girthy (oooh errrr matron) but with the acro still get a really nice sight picture

I have both the hex and the silverback.
In my opinion the silverback is better at suppressing and looks cooler but is far bigger and bulkier. So if you want lightweight and more compact then go gor the hex. Or if size and weight isnt an issue then go silverback.
Ultimately its not a real suppressor, it can be modified with further baffles, fart flaps etc. So go with the one that visually pleases you the most and then modify to meet your needs

Bare in mind the mk23 has a different size thread on the muzzle (16mm iirc) so unless you get a can specifically made for it you'll need an adapter
