Recommended BB weight for the tippmann M4 ? Any suggestions

as heavy as your wallet and hop can handle.

just be careful with joule creep- you'll want to be chrono'ing using whatever weight your using.

It depends...

Have you got a TDC mod installed yet?

What Rubber are you using?

If you've got a Tony Taff TTR TDC Hopup, and a G&G green or Prommy Purple, you'll be fine to lob .30s happily all day long.

Stock? Ehhh... probably stick with .23s or .25s

IV literally just bought the gun new and stock I have been looking for the tdc mod to no avail

Ah ok, well, they take some tinkering, but once you've got it running nicely, they're fantastic

Have a look at TTR Tec on Facebook.

Tony is the Tippmann master.

https://www.facebook.com/tonytaffreynolds/

He sells TDC mods, air efficiency mods and tanker stocks, heavy buffers etc.

He can make a tippy shoot better than anything :)

If you need any advice or help getting it running, let me, Proffrink or Rocketdogbert know  :)

Ok thanks for the help this is my first venture into hpa

I have a slight issue with the tippmann is seems to double feed every 10-15 shots any suggestions why ?

Not going to start another topic (unless this gets ignored)...

on sunday day there was a guy on my team with a Tippmann with the bottle stock and it was silent as fuck!!

Is this normal?

or do you think it had a lot of work done to be silent?

if it’s normal then take my money NOW!!

You can make hpa's pretty damn silent, for a start most of the noise is from the muzzle and not the action so suppressors actually make a real difference. Also helps getting the pressure/dwell time setup.

Not massively familiar with the specifics of tippmanns, but for the most part a long barrel and big suppressor filled with foam will make most hpa's whisper quiet, mate of mine runs an sr25 and the round making contact at 20m makes more noise than firing does.

Thanks, this thing was as quiet if not quieter than a MK23..

I need one for my sneaky sneaky woodland adventures.. (that makes me sound like a pervert!!)

it's a pretty handy feature, my m4 has a very small can (one of the scar ones that goes straight on the flash hider) and even that's enough to really drop the noise levels, it's great being able to choose if you want to do quiet and sneaky or loud and scary.

Probably not a Tippmann as the bolt moving makes loads of noise,

if the whole gun was silent then look at a wolverine mtw possibly or he built it himself with a stock aeg and an HPA engine

Was a Tippman, I asked him what it was.

Wondering if they were that silent or if he did a lot of work to it

Fair enough, just seems that it would defeat the object of owning a rattle gun and then making it silent.

having previously owned a Tippmann HPA gun I wouldn't know where to start to make it silent.

The one that is quiet is in fact a Tippmann, a Tippmann omega. Not the normal M4 style that we use.
