Silicon gas isn't great in GBBRs because it doesn't lubricate the seals and instead sprays all over the hop unit. This can lead to feeding and accuracy issues because the hop relies on friction to function. The seals in GBBRs these days are usually viton or nitrile, not silicon, so they don't "soak up" the oil in the way people claim they do.
It's also not a very good lubricant because it doesn't prevent metal contact wear, and it spreads out very soon after application. It feels slick, but doesn't work well for Airsoft.
Generally you want a PTFE Grease for moving metal parts in a GBBR. I quite like Waldo's Pink Goo despite usually avoiding Airsoft branded stuff. It's a good mix of PTFE oil and grease that is slick but protects well.
For gas, I'd check ASG "brown" player's choice for warmer weather, or their red gas for the chilly weather. Nuprol now did a Zero green gas with white can that's silicon free as well.
