Side folding stock M4 AEG

I'm wanting to convert my rear wired G&P SR-16 to a side folding stock to save space in the gun case. I've seen a couple of people have mounted these to their AEGs and the airsoft ones I've seen say they can be mounted to them but I've not found any info on what that entails. I have a very nice and rather expensive buffer tube on my gun currently that I really don't want to have to replace or cut up to make this work. Is there anyone here who has done this before that could give some advice before I go buying something I may not be able to use. Thanks
