Shell Ejecting

Firstly, i LOVE shell ejectors, it doesn't get much more realistic than that. Problem is, as far as im aware, no company makes shell ejecting guns where the shells are designed to be LEFT ON THE FIELD, just like the BBs. I mean, whats the point of having the ultra realism of a shell ejector if you have to then stoop and gather your rather expensive shells?Think about it, the shells only need to stand up to being loaded into the mag, fired and then ejected once i.e. they don't need to be particularly strong/long lasting. I cant imagine real arms manufactures spend much more making shell casing than we spend on BBs. What does the internet think?

Real Ammo is MUCH more expensive than airsoft, more expensive (dare I say it) than paintballs.

so the initial cost of 100 rounds is going to be REALLY big

plus, you fire more than 1000 rounds a day in most airsoft games

5.56 ammo is around the $300-400 mark for 1000

obviously it won't cost THAT much, but I would say taking about $200 is a reasonable mark for 1000 rounds of teh useful bit to airsofters.

If you can find ANYONE willing to REGULARLY pay £150-200 on top of green fee just for some added realism, that needs a medal of some form.

Cost for initial weapon would also be the same as a decent GBBR - £300-500

plus mags of 30 rounds - £5 each?

basically, to do it would require completely specialised kit and would be a general faff.

but If you DO want to go down the SE route, just get one of those shell catchers, or even make your own

purchase, but before you think about making your own (i know the idea is brewing) it is FAR more expensive to make your own - you need to buy the shell stamping/cutting/trimming/finishing kit.
