Rust or Just Steel. Bolt Aks 74u

I have a real steel Daniel Defense rail on my Systema. The bolt's that are used to screw it in were the showing the same 'mild rust like' colouration. Just get some silicon oil and brush the bolts with it and wipe. Welcome the world of reel steel! 

 
Stamped steel constructed guns with chemical or blued finishes need to be maintained by wiping over with a rag and gun oil.

 
I keep my steel guns in silicon bags, helps mitigate the worst of the spotting

 
Indeed, oil or a moisture less environment ?

Store them in space ?

 
Thanks guys, I've put gun oil over it now and it looks a lot better than previously. Now I need to fix the damn lower handguard wobble ?
