Struggling to find anywhere with a price on this one
Can find it sold out here >>chimera

looks to be VFC based on one site listing the "make" as VFC

looks to match this one <<
but of course.. no price because it's sold

The chinese one tends to be green so i'm pretty sure it aint that one

Looking to price it at 60% RRP, or less depending on price/other factors
Any help with getting a fair price for this would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

  • Does it still work?
  • Is the bulb intact or burnt out?
  • Is there anything else with it or is it purely just the optic?
  • Is the glass still clear?

Just a few things that could help to evaluate the price. I think it's Bulgarian, rather than Russian.

I'm struggling to find any with the extra boresight (An East German thing mostly, if I remember correctly) like yours has, all of the images I've looked at are "flush". Pretty cool piece though

In terms of a "price guide" a complete set sold a little while ago in America for $375

I don't think VFC ever made any optics
I thought that too, might not be tbh. just going off what the sale listing said here

Yes
Yes, just resoldered the wires
Just that, don't have the rpg, but tbh, it could go with one of the AKs I'm selling as an add on
Glass on both side looks to be fully intacts and clear

I’d safely put it around the £150 mark personally, it’s one of those niche bits of kit that to the right person it’s perfect but to the average Joe it’s nothing. They do seem very hard to find however. Could be worth putting it onto eBay too, more likely to get a militaria collector see it there than on here

But thats just my two cents 🙂

Aye, seems reasonable
Certainly is a wierd one

Ebay could be a good shout, despite ebay taking double fees, but certainly a way to put it to a wider audience

i'll pop it here first, then if there's no interest i'll pop it up on ebay and such

cheers the help, much appreciated 💪

Pretty sure you'll get interest as it's unusual, personally I'd ask for £200, if it sells then great, if it doesn't then reduce a £10 at a time until you find a seller.

True
just had someone message about it
£200 can be the ebay price, if it comes to it ahah

Gotta give the AFUK folk some tasty bargains,
heheh

I own a deactivated RPG-7 and a year or so ago I went about grabbing a scope, at the time I was able to find a couple examples, one for £250 on a collectors site with pouch and spare bulbs, one £195 naked, but I found an east German one with pouch and all accessories/spare bulbs for £295 at a local deac shop which I purchased instead because I'm impatient and did not want to wait for postage or for them to say it was already sold.

Their true price, think about what a dealer/reseller would pay would be in the 100-200 range imo, but it is a scarce item and various different battery packs and variants tickles different people, you can research exact variant further as price could be dependent on that. Yours has the electronics/battery pack attached which is not always present.

The examples sitting over £300-£400 won't sell. Unless a lots changed in two years - bought mine then never looked back at em.

Pictured is my example, with electronics box removed because it was rustin out and I need to look at it closer and never have, on my to do list.
