Recommend me a weapon light please.

I tried the search option to no avail so please forgive me if there’s a million topics on this.

Im looking for a light set up for my aeg but I’ll be honest, despite googling I feel I don’t know enough to make an informed purchase so if anyone could recommend some gear that would be great.

I have a Krytac with a key mod rail so a key mod mount would be preferred and I don’t want to spend a small fortune, I don’t really know if buying a set or the bits separately would see me better off and if there’s any compatibility issues to worry about. 

So yeah, please educate me and all recommendations welcome.

I really struggled to find a keymod torch mount that didn't cost a fortune - I ended up just resorting to a RIS segment with a RIS mount. 

Detracts from the sleekness of the keymod rail a bit as it sticks out a good 3-4" instead.

In fact... if I remember correctly (I've not seen my gun since october! ) I think I've resorted to having it taped on instead now.

Keeps the profile of the gun smaller.

If I have to go down the route of mounting to a picantiny rail piece then so be it, the gun came with one that’s currently not in use.

Any number of those could work with a choice of torches. also depends how you want to mount it, if you want it flush then id go with a replica surfire like the nights evolution which I'm pretty sure come with a keymod adapter but if not you can get them, Or you can just get a run of the mill cylindrical flashlight with a tail switch and mount using some of the above. I know for a fact you can get repro S&S off set mounts for keymod rails as I have one sitting at home.

Thanks for your research, a fair amount of mounting options available which is great. No doubt some will be finicky since there’s apparently a difference between Airsoft and real steel keymod and Krytac use the latter. 

Any reccomendations for a torch and tail switch (is that what they are called?) combo that’s budget friendly?

Nights evolution are the best budget IMO - they usually come with a tail switch and a pressure pad option... you can remove the picatinny mount shown on the one below and change it out for something like the second picture. If you tell me how you plan to mount it then I can get you links for the mounts.

A mount like the one pictured would be ideal, just need to find a light/pressure pad combo that doesn’t break the bank. Led lenser do one for £55 that seems reasonable but don’t know how suited there gear is to Airsoft.

I've tried to look at your budget and keep that in mind when picking links. either model or torch should fit on the linked mounts NE lights are very good for the money and some models have both constant on and burst functions the graphics/logo is very similar to surefire on some as well. Up to you if you want the shorter light or longer but both will fit on the mounts and both lights should come with both a tail switch and pressure pad but I'd highly recommend switching out the pressure pad for a surefire one as the NE ones are pretty flimsey and can break after a short time.
