I think when you pull the trigger on an aeg that you just basically just connect two cable right?

So if I took these two cables and connected them to an external ON/OFF switch, that would work as well?

ea, on auto, the gearbox would keep running if the switch is ON

on semi, it would cycle once, each time the switch is put to ON

yes, that is right.

The standard switch is just two plates that move together, not very efficient and can arc. You can replace them with a microswitch or similar.

you can rig almost any aeg to fire from any reasonably long ~8-12V electrical pulse.
