Hello. I'm totally new to airsoft and have just purchased my 1st gun, an ares g36c.

I've got a set of 9.6v 1600 mah crane batteries and I'm hoping I can see an old charger I have leftover from an old rc

Helicopter set.

The charger is a ripmax pro peak ac dc delta peak fast charger. The output info on the front says:

Fast 7.2 - 8.4v 3.5ah (ac /dc )

Trickle 7.2v - 8.4v 130mah (ac/dc)

7.2v - 9.6v 130mah (ac only)

I'm a little unsure. Can I use this charger without damaging anything?

Any help would be great thanks .

It should be fine, use this formula to find out how long to charge the battery.

Battery MaH divide by the chargers output MaH multiplied by 1.4 give you the time in hours.

E.g. 500/200x1.4=3.5

Cool thanks, should save me some cash. Thanks.

Sorry back again.

Using the formula would mine be...

1600 ÷ 130 x 1.4 ???? Seems to be wrong?

Or do I.....

160 ÷ 130 x 1.4

Thanks.

The 1600/130x1.4 is correct. Your trickle charge at 130mah looks very low whist the fast charge looks very high (probably too high for a 1600 battery.

This link is for a charger of 500mah and will give you an idea of the charge times.

Hope this helps.
