Is the Facebook ban going to ruin the forum?

More sales threads but nothing of obvious concern, except maybe some slightly high valuations. Maybe too many without pictures until prompted, and new members not necessarily reading the guides before posting. Hopefully they will get the hang of it and become active contributors.

Thing is we all sometimes have a moan about this n that from time to time..........
but without the newer members - often making same noobie mistakes/posts we all did
This place can get a bit quiet tbh
Its a good mix on here - sometimes I feel we are too noob friendly but we all had to start somewhere
I used to be a trainee noob but now feel I had gained a little wisdom so that I can call myself an apprentice noob instead
As long as we don't have so many ukara/vcra wars like what we have had on occasions - noob on chaps
no I'm not assuming all FB people joining up are noobs - referring to them as "new members" I should be
(ah bollox - sometimes I can't be ar$ed to tip toe around being politically correct n crap - noobs it is)
Actually excuse the typo's about me - I'm not a noob - I'm a nob

I initially joined this forum a week or so ago to ask about people's experience's with warrior and disciple kit (I'm still serving and needed new belt kit). I decided to look around and see what the attraction was with airsoft and it certainly appealed to me, now I have a rifle and ive bought all the kit I need to start. It's after joining here that I found the various fb groups concerning airsoft and milsim. Best thing I've noticed about this forum is it really is a fountain of knowledge and everything is easy to find. Being noob friendly is always going to be good for the forum just may require a little extra moderation for the people that havnt done the cadre on the search function.

I think that some people coming here from FB will hopefully add to the sport, knowledge and general fun of the forum....However I do think we should all be vigilante with regards to scammers and people trying to illegally obtain RIF's

Technically no, but not everyone looking to buy a RIF *IS* an airsofter, or a skirmisher able to provide UKARA or site membership,Can an airsofter illegally obtain a RIF?
Hell....some of the people on FB don't even use them for airsoft.

and the popular "being an ego dick head" showing it off in public to ya m8's coz they not got maturity or responsibility or respect for out sport/hobby/toy guns
Spiteful to wildlife - kind of crime and/or being a dick covers it I guess
As well as a poor attitude - again being a dick thinking with little logic/common sense
"it's my gun I can do what I want with my airsoft gun" crap....
Luckily there was some good sites of FB that did try to monitor and kept reminding people about age/defense etc.....
And in the same style all we can do is remind people selling to try and carry out a few checks please in accordance with the law

What about all the people on here who dress up in all their gear and then take selfies?I personally think thats sadder than Facebook selfies. I have never not even once put all my kit on at home let alone felt the need to take a picture.
Why do so many people think the world needs another picture of a geeky 18yr old or a fat 40yr old stood in their lounge wearing pretend army clothes?
I did do one gun pic but that was a bit of a joke about the fact I ran round the meet up armed with a squeaky pig and party poppers. Even that made me feel a bit of a saddo.
Give everybody a hint if you look like where's wally or a fat bearded dungeon and dragons player putting on camo really doesn't help.
Lets ban all selfies.

Worse thing is I always just go for new content to see what's new and now it's classified after classified.

Click filter by forum. That said, it was nice to keep an eye on the classifieds, I already considered removing them from my new content filter, but I felt it could just go to the dogs if everyone did this.

Nope I like the classifieds and dont really want to edit out but might have to. It has got a bit much which is a shame because I liked the simplicity of all new stuff in one click.
