Hop up rubber stuck?

How would you recommend to free a hop rubber from a hop unit its a M14 hop unit and i couldn't get it to slide out with the barrel.

use a soft proddy thing.... like a barrel rod

carefully use a pair of tweezers trying not to damage the bucking and watch out nub don't get lost

bucking "may" run risk of damage - even if you are careful

Done it thanks now im having an issue with the new hop up the locking arm wont snap into place it seems like the hop unit cant go forward enough?

M14's barrel is a bit different than AEG barrels. Maybe that's the problem,
