Hop up modification

Hey guys am embarking on a bren project for my WW2 outings and need advice as to how to get a top feed through the hop unit. Thought about using a P90 hop but am worried about the space for the mag to sit in. So thought i would ask whether there is a way to convert a more standard type AK hop (Basis for project is a RPK) to accept top feeding mags. Cheers for any help.

I dont quite understand what are you converting from and to??

As i said the basis for the project is an RPK, but need to change so the mag sits and feeds from the top of the aeg. as shown below:

all the feed tubes are essentially the same, just in difernet positions.

A P90 hop up init is teh way forwads on this one I think as it is all in the irght place already.

personally I would have started with an M240 (GPMG) for this, but whatever.

Its going to take a little more then turning the HU upside down lol

You got to find a way of getting the mag into the body

And you migt have to move the gearbox it really depends

Unless your REALLY expreinced i wouldnt recomend embarking on this project
