G & P M4 Spec Ops Semi auto issue

I have a G&P M4 Spec ops and it fires fine on full auto, but when I fire on semi auto I sometimes get the dead man's click straight away or after a couple of rounds are fired. what could be causing this and what is the fix?

any advice is greatly appreciated.

i had a similar problem to this in my vfc scar and i found out it was the trigger contacts

I had the trigger unit replace and it's perfect now!
