G&G GR25 DMR (AEG) - Upgrade parts

Hello,

 I would like to build this DMR, but I am not realy aware which parts are suitable for this gun. All the tuning work will be done by pro tech guy, but he asked me about some general list what I want. I'll be thankfull for any advice. I need to know what and why, simply as that - and finaly build it on paper so I can hand it over to make it real. Thanks again.

- Limit is 425 FPS

- Aiming for efective range at least 200ft (60m) - more is better

- Anything up to 1000 £ - less is better

I’ve never used a pro tech guy before so I’m not sure how it works, but surely you tell said pro, I’d like it firing at 425 FPS and accurate at 60m+ and he would advise you on what parts it would need and how much it’d cost. Also don’t tell him you’ve got a grand to spend as I’m sure the bill would be pretty close to that if you did ?

Yes he will, but I wanted to search everywhere so I dropped this foolish question here. I also wanted to know if hes not gonna put any unnecesary stuff in it. And ye Im lazy but im learning stuff on my 100pound gun and dont wanna mess something I want to play straight right now. I was hoping for some stuff like "get R hop because of that, get flat hop because of that. Use this barell its better than this, this gonna make it more durable etc.... Not guide book, just thoughts. Well its better to tell people how stupid they are instead tell them how to do it better right?

the tl:dr version:

you want to be as close to your site limit as possible (1.6j in this case)

you want to run the heaviest good quality ammo you can afford, at least .3's if not .4's or heavier

you want to have a good rhop to lift that heavy ammo

that'll get you 90% of the way there

otherwise in terms of the rest of the upgrades a good quality barrel will give you more accuracy (not as much as the main points but there'll be an improvement) and anything else will be focusing on eliminating air leaks (good consistency in fps shot to shot means more accuracy and accuracy=hitting things at range) or other things like trigger response/rof or more reliable feeding.

given it's a DMR and you're going to be stuck to semi auto you don't really need to be mucking about with things like motors etc so apart from a simple mosfet to save the trigger contacts and a 7.4 lipo for a bit of snappyness i'd leave that alone.

i recently upgraded a freinds gr25 and pretty much all i did was drop in an rhop, fitted a delayer chip and changed the spring to bring it up to our 1j limit (it was about 0.8j before), apart from that it's  still running stock internals on nimh.

realistically on parts alone maybe £15 for a spring and £25 on hop parts, but otherwise no need to go any further besides labour charge.

now if you wanna go absolutely mad, then you'll want a pdi barrel, rhop and a polarstar f2 kit, but when programmed right that'll give you almost silence, as good a trigger response as airsoft ever gets and excellent consistency, but then at £500 odd for the hpa setup and £100 for the barrel you'd expect it to be good. downside ofc is you'll have an airline and tank to cart around.
