Hi all. At the moment most weekends I'm refereeing kids football. Now as I know airsoft is an expensive sport I'm wandering do you think I should keep reffing or come into the airsoft world plus also what makes it difficult I cannot drive.

Try it and see? Rentals are usually about £40 quid for the day. If you don't like it it's not a massive loss of money..

I can drive but I decided not to, I scrapped my car a few years ago to save money and get fitter. An MP5 or similar will fit in a backpack easily and cycling to an airsoft site means 2 lots of exercise in one :)

Airsofters are generally a friendly bunch so if transport is an issue it shouldn't be hard to find a lift.

As for being an expensive hobby, it can be if you let it be. If you buy a G&G combat machine or similar and some army surplus gear and don't get as carried away as most of us here its not too bad. After you have UKARA sorted and have a decent gun, eye protection etc. you will save half the cost of each session by not having to hire.

Watching lots of sweaty men running round chasing leather, or hunting down your fellow man on a plastic-fuelled murderous rampage?

I didnt even realise it was a choice?
