(This is my first review, I'm new to this site and to airsofting! Sorry!)
SHOOTING
But I have done some target practicing from about 7-8 metres away.
Initially I tried it on semi-auto, was pretty accurate, one of the A5 paper targets included had a deer on it (I know, a very small deer) RoF is also very good, with the Patrol Base website saying it should fire 1000 RPM.
FEEL/BUILD
Upon my first feeling of the gun, it is a very nice weight, isn't too heavy but doesn't feel too lightweight or cheap either. It's 2 kilograms.
It's a sportline. So the pistol grip, trigger guard, receiver, stock, removeable flash suppressor/hider and the handguard/foregrip are PLASTIC. The fire selector switch, front and rear sights, sling mounts, magazine release switch and magazine release lever, trigger and charging handle are METAL. (the inner barrel is too of course, and so is the outer) So overall, nice build quality.
I had it two-toned, I could've waited I know, but yeah, the stock, handguard w/ foregrip and flash hider were painted green, everything else left black.
The MP5K PDW has a folding stock, when it's folded it does wobble a bit but you're supposed to hold the foregrip and grip the stock with your thumb, I find this a bit awkward, and when I fold it I just hold it like a pistol.
SIGHTS
The front sight is massive. The rear sight is adjustable but you've got to loosen a screw, but in my opinion the setting it is on when you get it is fine. (there are four settings) Personally I like the MP5 style iron sights.
MAGAZINE
I love the magazine! It fits perfectly into the magwell, no movement at all. It's metal, holds 200 rounds. Would reccommend a box of five mid caps or low caps of you're into mil-sim/realism.
BEST USE
The gun is obviously designed for close quarters engagements. The barrel is 135mm long. However, I'm sure it'll still do good at longer ranges.
OTHER INFO
Barrel: 6.08 calibre, 135mm long
FPS: 310
Price: £145 + £15 two-toning at Patrol Base
MY RATING SO FAR: 8/10
It comes with a Value Package - includes safety goggles (don't use for skirmishing!), not-bad quality sling, 500 pellshits
Also comes with instruction manual, two paper targets, and a catalogue.
OTHER STUFF YOU MIGHT WANT TO GET: extra mags, BBs
Please leave feedback on how I can improve my reviews.
