Basic upgrades

Just bought myself a budget rifle from airsoft world. I know it's a low end gun but its what I wanted to learn what the game and gun is all about, playing, maintaining etc.

It has a v2 gearbox and I'd like to do some basic upgrades to learn about its working and make it more reliable possibly.

What are my options?

it would help to know what model of gun you have. AK, M4 etc.

General upgrades are just to get a better metal gearbox that is compatible, a tightbore barrel that will fit and a better compatible hop up chamber (if it has an adjustable one, if not, don't bother).

Those are basically the bare minimum for a good aeg.
