    As I understand it, the Mxx1 designation was for thumb screw mounts, which were Block 1, and Mxx2 was for the ARMS/quick release lever mounts. Could be wrong though - the internet is full of guff after all… 😎

    Cheers @Shep120181 - not quite unfortunately, seen those ones but they’re based on the later M951 from 2010s onwards, the early version I’m after has a body a similar diameter to the tail cap.

    Can’t say it’s really ever bothered me. I’d much rather wear a box than the ex-military pelvic protector some are suggesting, I wore one regularly - like wearing inflexible, thick nappy pants, chafed everywhere. Better than losing your Frank & Beans to an IED though I suppose.

    There’s subtle differences between what the RM and Rangers get (NSPA G4 don’t have the “Crye Precision” tape labels on the pockets) and the G4s issued elsewhere though, so there’s a difference in value.
