this an ar pattern barrel?

you could turn down the flange?

I need to improvise a lathe and level the tapered section that starts from the flange.

Or just hand it to someone with a lathe.

And yes it's an AR type barrel, using a G&G arp handguard so the hole is smaller than regular ones.

tricky one for a full barrel. for smaller stuff you can sort of get away with sticking it in the chuck of a hand drill but an outer barrel is too big for that.

a lathe would do the neatest job.

I'm in no rush anyway.

I'll have it milled as soon as I'm allowed to play again.
