    Ok, But seriously, V7 gearboxes can go to hell

    Took me 7 hours taking the m14 apart and installing all the new shiny pieces and I'm paranoid I've done it wrong because the last few BBs in the magazine don't appear to feed properly (but the rest do? Will need to chrono on Sunday)

    I hate AEGs. Springers and gas are way better ?

    Accuracy, yes, effective range, yes, but the BB doesn't care about our feelings. Once it's out of the barrel, it only knows its linear and angular velocities, and 2.3J is twice as Jouley as 1.1J.

    Physics says ~40% more range from twice the kinetic energy.

    Change my mind. ;)

    I can only go up to 1.6J for a semi-auto, but I get you on this. Plus, the higher power of the spring will allow me to use heavier ammo, which will also increase the effective range as heavier BBs lose momentum slower.

    Basically, I am tossing up between having a higher performing rifle or the flexibility of no MED. At the moment I'm leaning towards going for more power and just relying on my pistol a bit more.
