Guy decided it was a good idea to put the barrel of his gun inches away from his mates head messing about. The guy managed to swat the gun away before he pulled the trigger so he was sent back to the safe zone and told to bother coming back. We take the safety of other players very seriously and on this occasion it had the potential to go very wrong. We try to not ban people but this type of behavior is not welcome when we have a lot of new players on our site.

He did try to argue that his mate had put the barrel to his own face believe it or not.

Oh dear...

We tried to point out the error of his way but alas decided to act up and be disrespectful to both myself, the head marshal and the owner.

With an attitude like that, you made the right call!

Funny this. I swear I saw a post like this from the person who got banned on either Reddit or Facebook yesterday (which has since been deleted). He seemed to have accepted the ban and admitted he was a bit of an idiot.

He was asking whether the site that banned him would tell other sites as he was worried he wouldn't be able to play anywhere. Annoying that the thread was deleted!

Hmm quite possible, we don't share our banned players list  with other sites (although I do know there is a network for that) so if it is the same person he is free to go wherever he wants.

Either massive coincidence or its the same guy!

Edit: just reading the replies it seems like it is our banned player although without user name etc wouldn't be able to find out for sure.

I’m perfectly happy with your sites decision plus I wouldn’t have a problem if you DID circulate his details to other sites in the area . As harsh as this sounds no matter what ridiculous idea motivated him do it in the first place  (bravado/stupidly/anger/what ever) to do somthing like that is just too dangerous to let slide , this WILL cost someone there eye sight if the bbs reach the eyes no ifs or buts at point blank they just wouldn’t survive period , and unfortunately the person who does this has to be made an example of as a very stark warning to others , just don't be so bloody stupid .

I would have been slightly less aggravated by it but when I got back to the safe zone and discussed it with the owner on site for that day and the lead marshal turns out he had tried to spin a completely different story to what had actually happened. When questioned about it again he back tracked as I was standing there. It wasn't just the act itself that got him banned by also lying and then trying to argue all three of us at differing times about it. Generally we are quite laid back but as i said before when it comes to safety and especially other players safety unfortunately there are very few second chances.

I'm assuming by your comment about surviving you meant their vision/eyeball?

Druid799
Yea there vision .

this is one of those vary rare occasions where I have zero sense of humour over an event .

I really don't think the guy understood the seriousness of what he had done as he was still trying to argue the toss and pass it off as not that bad even when walking off site

Druid799
Druid799
Thats even worse then if the gravity of the whole situation wasn’t registering on him ?

Well like i say he tried to lie his way out of it even trying to tell me i didn't see what I saw. Just goes to show that some people  really aren't mature enough for the sport. Not sure on his age but was old enough to play but working the chrono each game day does make me think the age limit for the sport should be increased to 16+ nation wide however unpopular that is.

So, this guy was banned because he put his gun to his mates head or did he pull the trigger?

Druid799
Druid799
Me personally (and it is just my opinion) but I’d say immaterial wether he pulled the trigger or not the minute he made the conscious decision to point an active Airsoft gun at someone’s face he’s given up any right he had for attending an Airsoft field . I wouldn’t want him any where near me , my sons , my friends or anyone else , just too much of a safety risk .

@Robert James attempted to

pull the trigger but his mate batted the gun away fraction of a second before from what I saw.

Exactly @Druid799 the RIF was loaded and the selector was on fire so regardless of hitting the guy, the gun was point blank give or take an inch

Ah fair enough. If it was on safe, I'd maybe say a little harsh, plus he pulled the trigger or at least attempted to. If my mate decided to put the gun to my head, on safe I'd maybe laugh and say don't just incase, but on fire mode plus actually pulling the trigger, they wouldn't be getting in my car for a lift home
