Whenever you say shooting left is it a straight line to the left or is it curving left?
If its a straight line then that's a barrel/sight alignment issue, if its curving off then it's the hop not aligned right spinning the bb's off axis.
Front sight shouldnt need touch adjusting it's meant to all be done via the rear (especially windage), although you'll end up just instinct shooting mostly.
100 rounds shouldnt be too much out of a decent sizee battery, will be fine for more test shooting but always worth topping up before actually skirmishing it
I just realised - it isnt fixed, as I still have to keep the sites all the way to the right. It must be something to do with the barrel as I don't think it curves?
give the barrel a clean and get some .3's in there.
you'll find yourself often just firing to adjust, and it is perfectly feasable to fight with no sights at all, sights are useful for getting more first shot hits admittedly.
I agree with Hamster turn your hop to zero to avoid any damage while cleaning use a dry cloth first and see what comes out.I found the flip up sights on my MK18 pretty crap to be honest but works fine with the fixed Krytac sights?
Keep us posted on what goes on and I hope it sorts itself out
Have an exam tomorrow so haven't had time to test and clean, however I the rifle seemed to perform fine yesterday (and holy crap CQB is amazing) but I don't think accuracy was much of a problem seeing as most people were only metres away.
If anyone gets the chance go to Spartans CQB site before its demolished it was the best game I've ever played.
With regards to the rifle, I'll finally get around to completing the tasks that have been stated.
Going to bristol airsoft (courthouse) on feb 7th, but we'll have to travel on public transport. As far as I'm aware, as long as they are completely covered (I only have the case that came with the rifle with all the branding etc so I'm guessing I would have to cover this up with something or alternatively take it in a hiking bag of some sort, or perhaps cricket bag) and we have a valid reason for carrying them in public (but not openly, covered so it looks like a big rectangle) it should be fine?
Please be careful mate put as much as you can in a holdall even when I drive its all covered up in the boot and I wear coveralls from work to hide my camo it sounds OTT but my philosophy's very simple "do not give THEM any excuse"
Be smart be safe and you'll be able to have a great days skirmish
I probably come across as your granny but its just out of concern?
Yeah thats fine, I'd prefer for you to say that than to just say 'itll be fine'. I'll make sure to be as careful as possible. I'll probably pack it all in a cricket bag/hold all if it fits to ensure it doesnt look like I'm transporting a IF.
Apologies for the long gap, I think it is the barrel being a dick but due to playing almost exclusively CQB I doubt I'll worry about fixing other than adjusting the iron sights. One thing did happen recently though is that a BB exploded in the mag during a game. It was the next bb to be loaded into the gun and am I right in thinking that if it had exploded in the 'chamber' that would be my gun dead dead? Trying to avoid this hugely as I had a heart attack when it happened.
