Are you using a 7.4v and the mosftet may be hardwired or programmed to look for 11.1v?

it's a fully charged 11.1, i think it's because this mosfet is a bit cleverer than anything i've used before as it seems to know that it's double firing on semi and trying to bring it round. then because it's trying to gently move a high speed motor it's complaining. i'll try it on a high torque motor tomorrow see if that solves the issue.

What mosfet?

one of those full trigger replacement jobs that links into the hop unit so it stops on empty. should be sweet once i get it working. hopefully i can do that before sunday although at least i have the mg and the f2000 ready to go.
