Haha, thanks for the support guys.

Irma actually first impacted on one of the smaller Keys - Cudjoe Key, where my family happens to have a house, boat, and property. Approximately 25% of houses in the keys were destroyed, and none of us can get down there for several weeks to check things out. But a family member apparently saw a live news broadcast of the island and actually saw both our house and boat were still there, so thats something...

My van was also taken in last Tuesday due to needing a new somethingorother, and the Honda dealership screwed up the order and broke the part, so they couldn't even repair it in time for me to evacuate (not that I really needed to, but it would have been nice to be able to help my grandparents to get set up. I still havent heard from the Honda dealership, and I need my van back to get to a big MilSim that has been in the planning for month that I am supposed to leave for Thursday...

My dorm was hit hard by the hurricane Sunday, and around 1 AM we lost power. Being in Florida, this meant that temperatures indoors sat around 32-33*C with around 80% humidity. The first night was tolerable, but the second night there was so much ambient moisture that it started accumulating in the fire alarms and set them off in our dorm. So we ripped them out of the wall (just kidding... kinda). The third night (last night) we took over the student center and slept on the floor cause it had AC. However this floor is bloody HARD, so while it was cool it still wasnt comfortable. I am still in the center because of the AC, although we are hoping to get power back today (about 75% of the campus has power as of yesterday, so fingers crossed).

In terms of airsoft two shipments of non-necessary items for a big MilSim this coming weekend will not make it, but besides that all is fine there, assuming my car is fixed in time for me to make it haha.

Good to hear that you are basically okay, and coping with the weather in the Sunshine State. At least there is the milsim event to look forward to.
