I'm thinking of running it that way and have heard good stuff.Just make sure that you have it on a loop to your helmet if the velcro fails.

I have rails on my helmet; if the contour has a rail mount that's what I would use. Don't trust Velcro when it comes to expensive stuff, especially with the amount I run into things...
