A female...playing airsoft...? This is such a rare sight.

If I was anywhere near you you'd be more than welcome to join the guys I play with. We're all ex military asides from relatives that come with us, but we're nice I swear. Unfortunately no life seems to exist in north east Scotland.

I thought we were more common until I played my first game and had the manager running around shouting "Girl! Girl! Girl!". Haha

That would have been nice, sounds like a good group of people :)

I've just been linked an airsoft site map, I'm bang in the middle of a blank area, there seems to be a lot in the midlands though. Plus the one site near by doesnt have good gameplay. But theres one on the scottish border that I might try!

Stick with one near you for the moment, I know it might seem you all going in different directions. But quite likely they all newcomers - even yourself - no offense meant

Time you go a few times the regulars will suss you out and see you got some idea etc..

So soon you will have a small little team and will function correctly once you all know the strengths/weakness of ya team. Plus a few people may know the layout a bit better too

There's a mixed bag of people playing - some think they know, others haven't got a clue, most will work and give it go for a while then say sod it if the leader still hasn't got a clue. Give it a couple of goes before you write off a site. Unless you play the more serious sites you will get a few bell-ends anywhere

Thanks for the info, makes sense. Theres a site only a few miles away from the one I went to, I'll go there and stick at it for awhile. I probably wont go to the place I went last time just becuase the regular players I went with last time thought it wasnt a great place either - the rules were odd and they let some people play without masks or goggles). But I'll go to the new place and stick at it there until I go anywhere else :)

F*ck that for safety !!!!

but yeah even my reg site is not the place for serious players.

But is cheap n local but I have tried a couple and hope to visit another great cqb site in Reading - the Mall.

Don't worry - most sites have the odd crap game but hopefully reg will have a word to say it don't work.

as long as peeps call their hits - that is the main thing

eye pro is absolute top priority.

I would not want to be the one who injured a player coz site failed to ensure we were all protected and observing common sense etc..

Yeah, there both a way out from me anyway so I may as well go to the one with safety regulations. But getting to know regulars sou ds like a good idea.

S
Sitting Duck
indeed - most of them will be glad to help/show off their stuff, the regs usually know good strategies, layout, and what to expect.

Call your hits and have fun that is the most important thing. Don't take it too seriously - a game of toy guns and we all are still learning

Duck forgot to mention if a player doesn't call their hits full auto their ass and charge in and knife them. Qlimax got one on camera last week I believe it was.

Seriously though, if someone isn't taking their hits and hits you don't try to argue or shout abuse as it just spoils the day for everyone. Just be the mature one and go tell a marshal. They usually go deal with them and let you go back to where you were and resume play.

Yeah I've heard a lot of people say that about taking hits, I wouldnt want to waste time argueing

all good advice above - next most important thing is footwear - dont bust an ankle for the sake of £40 on a pair of boots
