G&P 15 FPS over? I had that problem when I first got my M16, one of the marshals on site drilled a tiny hole in the side of the nozzle, to give it an air leak, reduced the FPS by ~15 so I was able to play.
When I was 5fps over the marshall suggested adjust hop but I had just got it sweet & was hoping he might let it go - but at 355 showing on chrono he wouldn't
Unless I am totally talking out of my ar$e - you can expect up to 10% loss in fps in 3-6 months of use, maybe a little sooner depending on use. This is mainly the spring and some wear on seals etc... Please note I say up to about 10% and depend on quality of spring/seals/build etc... 15fps is say 4% so it might be worth leaving it pre-cocked over weekend.
You could end up replacing with m100 say = 328fps but come say Easter be down near 300 and paid for spring and/or fitting - might be worth a go and see if you can get her to tone down a little perhaps - my own aeg's have dropped a bit too and know even bolt snipers suffer spring drop
I guess so but like I said I never bothered and grabbed a spare. The marshal wanted to see 350 or less on chrono not 353 - 355, it was an SRC dragon - like G&G carbine/Raider dust cover don't stay down on cheaper budget guns - other SRC & G&G's do but trying to holding flap down, adjust hop with gloves with rest waiting to go out - couldn't be ar$ed with fumbling about
5 or even 15fps is not exactly what many would call real hot - not even 10% over ffs and fps or muzzle is only a guide. before I get flamed what I mean is my 355 dragon would probably still be outranged by a 300fps TM set up properly
On and btw I'm not sure if he could of brought it 15fps easily on hop without it being very poor flight hence me suggesting maybe leaving it cocked or spring compressed for a while to bring down spring's power/tension a bit more sooner than later. Might save him opening up gearbox or paying for m100-m105 to be fitted as opposed to possible m110 in there atm
