ARMA 3 was supposedly designed to be a little more "user friendly". As ARMA 2 could only run (smoothly) on £450+ mega computers unless you wanted it to look like a PS1 game. ARMA 3 was made to run smoothly on lower end computers within reason.
I got the disk copy for ARMA 3, but this was from when it first came out. If you want a game along the lines of ARMA which runs well then Battlefield 2 and the project reality mod is pretty good as well.
I have enough for that, but neeeedd to go skirmishing, so seperate money box for that. This for Christmas though. (Due to getting a laptop as a joint bday, Christmas present I have to be more vigorous with the elimination process of prezzies)
You wont run ARMA without a dedicated graphics card... If you do want to buy PC games download steam... no one buys CD's anymore... Operation flash-point is alright, you can probably pick it up for like £5 second hand so.. yeah..
Hey, I still buy CD's mainly because the download rate is crap. Especially as everything seems to be 40Gb+ these days - thats a solid 24 hours downloading for me...
If you don't have a decent computer, maybe ask Mr Santy for a gaming computer or parts to built your own?
