There's a reason your mate has spent £700+ on his sniper rifle. Asking how good a £40 scope is suggests you have not quite grasped the depth of the issue at hand.
sorry I meant with the gun. new piston, trigger unit, barrel scope and bipod etc. That comes to a lot. Yeah he dropped a lot of money into it.
Lozart, the point is I don't want to spend nearly as much. FOr dragunovs, I believe there is a £40 scope and a £260 one, and that is the only real choice
The general rule of thumb for snipers seems to be that it just costs a lot. For some reason nobody seems to make a reasonably priced sniper rifle that works even close to well out of the box. Certainly for the cheap AK red dot sights they all seem to be crap. Mostly why I've stayed away from sniping to be honest.
yeah, thats what I feared. I loved it and all, but I don't want to pour anywhere near that amount of money, for something so limited. He hasn't even bought a pistol or made a ghillie suit yet, and hes looking at a grand for everything. IMO madness for a sniper and in such a short space of time. each to their own
A&K make a rather cheap M24 that's far better out of the box than it deserves to be,mainly in parts quality but performance is not shabby. You can make a VSR viable for a very low price however it's pretty much going to be a 1J build and will require a fair bit of DIY.
yeah exactly what I was thinking. SO i guess scrap that idea, make a nice aeg, wait till my mate gives up and then swap guns for a bit... only real shot I have tbh lol
thats the problem with snipers they are silly expensive to upgrade to a point where they shoot like an arrow, lets say you bought the vsr and then got aspuk to do all the upgrades your looking at £490 then a £50 barrel and a £10 hop £50 for a scope then £30 for a bipod then a spare mag.theirs £700 with the cheapest option. If you went pdi i bet you would be pushing £1k
