I can't take clannad seriously due to the uguu~ eyes. Right now I'm hyping up for Gundam G-Reco,first 2 eps really impressed me and checked all the boxes for a Tomino written show so I have good hopes for it

Frizzle I guarantee you, you don't at all. Evangelion requires extreme pyschoanalysis to even understand it at a basic level.

I am currently watching Code Geass, holy balls it's amazing.

Ah jeez,Evangelion. I don't see why it's supposed to require deep psychoanalysis. I see a mediocre mecha show with DEEP undertones that don't really have a sizeable impact on me. That said,I adore stuff like VOTOMS and 08th MS team so I'm not exactly Eva's target audience

On a normal level yeah its robots vs aliens. But the aliens are angels and the robots are angels too. It's very clever. The anime is depression. Hidekai Anno the creator made it when he was suffering from severe depression. I could go on about how amazing it is and everything but I will be typing forever.

I don't like or watch AMV's but this one is an exception, it really depicts Asuka's suffering, she is my favourite character from Evangelion. Take a look.

I quite like the way the Evas in Evangelions are clones of Adam and Lilith- Basically lobotomized god monster cyborgs. I liked the premise too. However I felt it was way too preachy and I found Shinji as a character infuriating to watch. I pushed through the series anyway but never bothered with End of Evangelion since I decided it just was not my thing
