Nothing, because I don't think Scotland WILL become independent. There's too many downsides to Scottish independence; economic (losing the pound, only imports being finite supplies of North Sea oil) 1/2 or 3
Political (having to reapply for EU membership and NATO membership, which can take a while) Defense (they won't have many funds for a border guard or a military) and Healthcare; losing the NHS and everybody having to pay for healthcare.
I think it was just shallow of Salmond to open the vote up to 16-17 year olds- that means more uninformed voters blindly voting 'yes' because they have romanticised notions of independence from the rest of the UK.
As i am Scottish i think i speak for us when i say nothing will happen! on a serious note though id rather not see everyone throwing their opinion about on here as up until now this seemed like one place to actually avoid it!
