To be honest since I posted the last status about this I have forgotten most of the things UTJ told me about the A&K M24. But IIRC it comes with some very good stock internals that shouldn't need upgrading like the spring guide / trigger mech and TBB?! Saw a video but the guy said the piston isn't very good (it's weak) and the cylinder is hard to open. I don't know which one to get and there's only like a 2 euros difference in it.

The reviewer later corrected himself on the piston after some usage,it was in the comments IIRC. the stock marui piston lathe turned to a 90 degree end can handle 130 springs so an aluminium 90 degree should be fine.

The gun has a steel cylinder, spring guide, aluminium piston and a 90 degree trigger mechanism with a a steel sear. The hop up unit is different in casing shape, but still takes VSR buckings, barrels and arms. 'Samurai' on this forum has some experience with it,I only had a peek at the guts at a mate's place.

Well from what you told me about it earlier (and now) it sounds great. I'm pretty sure I'll get it over the JG now, only thing I don't like is that it seems it could be harder / more complex to disassemble and upgrade. I liked the BAR because it looks simple to open up. Anyway it looks like there is a video on it which should help. Do you think I'd have to upgrade the trigger mech, cylinder, spring guide? I'll get a DangerWerx (type B) hop arm and SHS steel trigger sear. M...

Maybe a PDI Raven cylinder set in the future, if it's compatible? Really appreciate the help by the way :)

I can't exactly say how good the tolerances are on the A&K M24,but it seems it takes all VSR parts. For the A&K M24,you can basically leave the cylinder internals alone, but of course do re-lubricate properly, and seal it up well for a 100 seal. IIRC A&K m24 is build the same way as a VSR with two screws on the stock and a thread outer barrel so it should be similar dis-assembly wise. There are videos about which helps

Tbh I'd just play it safe and get the Bar, more people will be able to help you if you have issues
