yes mate, as i found a turnigy balance charger on amazon for a tenner that charges up to 11.1 lipo's also i dont understand the whole concept of them eg the 15C 3S what does that mean
The 'C' is coulombs. Basically it's the discharge rate. The optimum you want is 25C because basically 30C is a bit high but 20 a little low. Can't think what 3S is.
If you want an 11.1 you really need to have upgraded your internals. Now, I'm shite with internals, still learning. IIRC you want a high torque motor (ZCI ones from AK2M4 are good) and new high speed gears (13:1 preferably)
Good point Mr B makes don't run a 11.1v Lipo on standard AEG's, saying that what are you intending on using a high volt lipo on bud ? I only use an 11.1v Lipo on my DTW and soon to come PTW but wouldn't ever use one on my G&G TR15 although they claim is it Lipo ready for 11.1v
An 11.1 is pretty overkill anyway. If you're going for a super high ROF (which you need the aforementioned parts to do) I'd use a 7.4v instead. Only exception being the RM4 ERG which you're supposed to use an 11.1 in according to KWA and G&Gs AKM which runs off custom 11.1 volt batteries.
It will more than just break it lol it'll fry the motor and could ruin e gearbox all together. 7.4v Lipo doesn't really do much for ROF I used to use one and it was rubbish mine 9.6v Nimh was loads better. I would be careful what you are doing with an 11.1v Lipo as they are volatile batteries anyway and with misuse in a weapon that isn't really or set up for one it may not be good. I've heard of them setting on fire (don't know if that's true) but people have said it
