Try coming to The Fort near Kirkcaldy (it's close to Cluny)! Next game is on Sunday.

That's even further away from land warrior! The closest thing to skirmishing now is paintball, and there's a site 5 min from where I live....

North or South area of Edinburgh?

North, near the very top by the sea in Leith. It sucks up there.

I've found that from Leith (by google maps) to The Fort is only 46 minutes if you take the A90 and follow this onto the A92.

Route is here: http://tinyurl.com/maptofort

Could I get there by train? because my mum will not drive on bridges.

other than that, looks like a linear path.

By transport on Sunday, it's about 2 hours.

How does your mum even have a license if she can't drive on bridges O_o

A

Nononoon, she doesn't want to. She's very paranoid about driving on motorways and bridges.

Statistically motorways are the safest place to drive... Anyway, that's her choice. However, I know that many people at The Fort would welcome new players!

I might one day.... by bus... I'll suffer the 2 hour journey. My mum doesn't really care where I go as long as it's with a friend.

It's good to go with a mate on the bus to a game since It's often pretty awkward if you're alone and deck'd out in gear. I've gotten used to the weird looks now and the bus ride is only about 20 minutes long so It's not that painful.

I have gotten stopped by the police once while driving to my local site. I explained that me and the 3 others in the car were going airsofting, and the fuzz seemed cool enough about it.

thats my biggest fear when going to site that the police will stop us and get scared about the realistic looking guns and go batshit on us

As long as it's in a case it should be grand. Is it a law in the UK that RIFs must be transported in a case?

As far as I know yeah you should have a case. Always make sure I have one anyway, makes it easier to transport if anything. Shows you're being responsible say if you do hey stopped it's better in a case than suspiciously underneath stuff in a towel or summut. Sounds exactly like my mum too.
