GBB in 9 cases out of 10.. or maybe 99 out of 100.

I was thinking of asking for an AEP after i've finished my exams, and they're not too expensive but since it has a smaller gearbox than a regular aeg, i'm just wondering if it is as loud.

Nah man,CYMA beat JG in the screech scale. Rough gears are easily beaten by off spec axle holes drilled.

I'd choose GBB pistols over AEP anytime, AEPs are fun but kinda sh*t a lot of the time

GBB's by a long, long way. Only thing which makes AEG's compete are muzzle device amplifiers.

Last time i handled a cyma glock 18 aep it was very quiet and performed pretty well

They perform well to a certain degree, but are not fun at all. Just "whiirrrrrr" and thats it, no movement, no peasant sound.

I was planning to get a glock, spring upgrade, lipo upgrade, put a rail and a silencer on it.

Just get a TM glock, will beat the AEP glock in performance even when the AEP is upgraded.

had both the TM and the CYMA, as stock at least the only difference is that the CYMA feels a bit more creeky/plastic (which is kind of odd, knowing thats what TM is famous for^^). Thou the TM is better, I would definitely say it's not worth the price difference (unless you tried the CYMA and really love it but hate the trigger pull). Question thou, wont it end up fairly expensive even if you choose the CYMA after all said mods?? Also consider a lot of AEG mechanics wont do AEP spring upgr...

tbh, if I am ever gonna get an airsoft gun, it has to be relatively quiet. So no GBBs now. Maybe an NBB but.... not too much fun. SO I thought an AEP would do the job.
