Once you are UKARA registered it lasts one year without having to do anything to keep it going.

Usually they will renew next time you play but if they require four times in a year to renew it isn't too bad.

Remember that UKARA is only required to purchase RIFs from retailers.  You do not need to renew UKARA to keep your RIFs.

I just need to sort myself an NGRS or MWS, got rid of all my RIFs a couple of years ago.

Yeah, just seems like my local sites are gone and this four times a year malarky is new too, certainly in my experience.

I think I have to accept reality. I don't have time go! I'm generally really busy at the weekends, so if I've only got 6 weekend free to go airsofting, I'm unlikely to want to commit four of those to one site I guess.

Sadly, it's entirely up to them, as what you're maintaining isn't the UKARA number as such, it's the site membership.  UKARA just records that, and has a minimum set of requirements.

Each site is entirely free to set their own rules on membership. They could require you to attend six times rather than three to get it, or to stand on your head and fart the national anthem, if they wanted to.
